The position of the Trickett Gate Barn cottage is excellent, being in a quiet backwater on a country lane that shortly becomes a track and then a footpath leading right up onto the hills surrounding Castleton, whilst within 3 minutes walk to the centre of the village. The range of walks from the cottage is very good with flat walks along the valley bottom, through fields and along river banks, to climbs up onto the hills with moorland and beautiful views for many miles. The Peak District National Park is easily accessible and offers a large range of outdoor activities for all ages.
Rooms Description
Tricket Gate Barn is a converted barn adjacent to the owner’s B&B cottage. It has been refurbished to a high standard with full central heating, a modern well fitted kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, washing machine etc. There is a brand new bathroom with both bath and shower. The cottage has still retained its charm and character. There is a large living/dining room with oak beams and a stone fireplace with a wood burning stove. There are two comfortable bedrooms, one double and one twin. Outside there is a small cottage garden which gets lots of sun, with seating area and barbeque.
