This welcoming inn boasts grand views from the garden overlooking Langsett reservoir and the Pennine moors. This comfortable and relaxing inn, built in 1809 of Yorkshire stone, is a grade 1 listed building and set in a most scenic and attractive location. The inn prides itself on good character, friendly service and of course traditional country pub ambience.
The Waggon & Horses at Langsett is family owned and run and has over 30 years of experience in offering warm hospitality and great food. Eating out at Langsett is more than just good value for money not only is it a popular spot for traditional Sunday luncheon but also has a reputation for having some of the best meat & potato and billberry pies in Yorkshire. With a good selection of well kept beers, wines and spirits. Langsett is on the edge of Pennine Yorkshire, the Peak National Park and Derbyshire - making an excellent base for touring the area. Just four miles from the market town of Penistone, eight miles from the tearooms, antique and book shops of Holmfirth. The inn have a good strong relationship with all the renowned local butchers, this guarantees that all meats are of the very best quality and ensures that pies and roasts are always consistent. The Waggon & Horses oofers a warm and welcoming bar, a smart long dining room and three bedrooms. The recently renovated Long room is ideal for breakfasts, luncheons, and dinner parties, buffets or meetings. It’s a versatile space that can be used to host all types of occasions - wedding receptions, intimate candlelit dinners, private family occasions or formal entertaining. The room comfortably seats 15 to 35 people and we can offer distinctive buffets for up to 65 guests.
